Considerents to take care when choosing a floor.

We can see many types, sizes, colors, application methods, and a wide variety of wood being manufactured today. This information is general, but is a starting point in search of an appropriate flooring. Always look at more products in the same range, compare the guarantee, the thickness, the manufacturing, lacquing and the finishing of the floor, with other important specifications outlined in this article.

Kitchens / living room: In newly built houses, they are the most common areas for mounting the floor. Ease of maintanance, open space and traffic flow makes this area to be proper for installing a wooden floor.  White / black do not match very well in this area due to, accidental food and liquid spills.

Note: the floor in the kitchen should be protected and polished as needed, like every 6-18 months

Home office / bedrooms: Flooring can be used in bedrooms, often along with carpets. For the home office, fit a traditional and dark flooring. Bedrooms has not a defined trend. Note: chairs, mibile TV stands may destroy the gloss of the floor. Make sure that the floor is protected, assuring you that the furniture is made from materials that do not scratch, or they have soft materials underneath their contact with the floor. Regular maintenance is required.

Category: What type of wood you want? This is important: for example ~ oak flooring. Is it domestic  or Exotic ? Some types may be used even with floorheatings, others not, others resist moisture better than the rest.

Dimensions: the width and thickness of the floor? What is the length of the plank? This issue may be important if you add a protevtive layer to the entrance. Sometimes the chosen model does not fit. Is always advisable to know the length, width and thickness of the planks for the chosen floor.

Color: Request a sample, of a finished flooring. Each producer has his range of shades. Today the most commonly used are those of oak and maple.
